At first these dogs for sport bull baiting were used, and it was also evaluated by farmers because of their intelligence. This breed has very good working abilities, stamina, and also has a very caring nature. These dogs were also very good hunters, and they used to hunt wild pigs, bears and raccoons.

This dog is a pet loving family who get along well with children and other animals known. The American Bulldog is a very determined dog who does not think twice before attacking predators or threats to their owners. This breed is fearless, confident and very agile. These dogs have strong protective instincts and should be well socialized from an early age. Perhaps some American Bulldog aggressive toward other dogs and also a little worried people do not know. These dogs thrive if they are accompanied by their families.

The American Bulldog has a short coat that is relatively easy to maintain. She wiped frequently with a stiff brush to help minimize hair loss, and also keep their coats in good condition.
